Our Story

Vocality Community Credit Union was founded 41 years ago by residents of Humboldt County that wanted more personal, inclusive, and community-focused financial services than traditional banks offered. That visionary spirit has never wanted - we’ve been outside-the-box- thinkers and innovators, listen carefully to what our members need and then create products and services for them, and over the years, our culture of caring and personalized service has become synonymous with who we are. Being so deeply embedded in the community, keeping our members’ money working on everyone’s behalf, we understand the unique needs of people in this part of California. How to address today’s problems and anticipate the next ones. How to get things done. And we’re continuing our visionary ways, now offering all of this experience to our neighbors in Trinity, Lake, Mendocino, and Sonoma counties. At a moment when so much in our region is uncertain, we are stronger than ever, unwaveringly committed to the members that made us who we are, and at the same time, successful enough to expend and serve additional communities.
